OK, so this is the million dollar question for this year....did you get Monday or Tuesday off to celebrate Canada Day? To be correct and proper, you should have been given Tuesday off to celebrate however I know that many employers felt it a better idea to offer the employee what "should be" or the option of a long weekend. My employer chose to do the "proper" thing and not give us a long weekend....which at first I thought was not very thoughtful of them. I loved the idea of a long weekend, but this Tuesday off really breaks up the week well. All in all not a bad thing.
