CAVEAT EMPTOR – Buyer Beware
So I am reading some of the many posts on Scuba Board and I realized that some people do get taken advantage of that really should not. In this day and age, I would think that people would know to be leery ALWAYS with offers on the Internet. I will be the first to say that it is great to have the convenience of “shopping” on the Internet but I try to always check the company I am buying from. This can be as simple as posting on Scuba Board asking the many people there.
The one that kills me is the Online Scuba Training. Perhaps it is because I went through the “real” training, but cannot believe people can hand their money over to places like these scam artists. If you look at this site, then you will see that they are owned by these scam artists. All I can say is that you are reading this but are not a certified diver, do not fall for it. At the very least, you can ask them if they are affiliated with NAUI or PADI because they will be tied to one or the other if they are legit. This will allow you to access their websites (NAUI or PADI) to confirm their affiliation. If these organizations confirm them, then they are likely OK to give money to.
CARPE DIEM – Seize The Day
Well, I dove Saturday and am looking to expand my location list for where to dive. I love to be underwater but I would love to have some new LOCAL spots to dive. I am actively trying to find these new spots but to date have been unsuccessful. I will not give up. If by any chance you have a dive spot in Southern Ontario which you feel I have not yet experienced (Mississauga and WEST) then please do get in touch with me with details.
