INNERKIP QUARRY
Innerkip Quarry is located in Innerkip, just northeast of Woodstock, Ontario. From Highway 401, take Country
Road 29 west into Innerkip. Turn left onto George Street and you are there. The actual park name is Trout
Lake Innerkip. Their website is simple but contains some useful information.
This site is a convenient dive. There is a dive shop on site for rentals and air fills. There are facilities and
concessions on site. Parking is somewhat limited. This is a "pay to enter" site. There is plenty in this site to
attract a diver such as sunken boats, buses, planes and a mine shaft.
Things to watch out for:
- This is a spring fed quarry so water temperatures are usually quite cold.
- Visibility below about 15 feet is usually very poor except very early in the season (COLD though)
- No flag is necessary and since it is a small quarry, no boats are present.
- Unless it is VERY early in the season, bring lots of ear drops...ear infection almost guaranteed.
